It happens a hand full of times a year (3 isn't it?) but I am always surprised by the backwards tug of full-on mercury in retrograde. It seems to lasso my very tongue, tripping up my words and fogging my messages. It wreaks cliched havoc on my gadgets (I am already one laptop charger, two spreadsheets and a smoking laminator down - oof.) But this here is a time of re-focusing, of letting the eyes get used to the darkness and finding the way using more sensory skills. I am taking a little time to get lost, to find the language and to make up flashlight stories under the stars. It will all get real and quickened soon enough. I'll be savoring the backstroke of this night swim just a while longer.
The fine people behind Straw & Gold asked me some questions about my process and inspiration and were kind enough to feature on their blog (click the pic above to check it out!)
